Dr. Jaume Fatjó, DVM, PhD, Dip ECAWBM (BM), is a veterinary behaviour specialist and Distinguished Researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. He obtained his veterinary degree and PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is a Diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine. Dr. Fatjó previously served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Forensic Medicine and is currently Director of the Affinity Foundation Chair for Animals and Health. He is also co-founder of Ethometrix Ltd., Director of Ethogroup, and Head of Behavioural Medicine and Animal Welfare at VetPartners Iberia. His research focuses on human–animal relationships, behavioural assessment in dogs and cats, and comparative studies between human psychiatric disorders and behavioural problems in companion animals.
