Dr. Takuya Mori, DVM, PhD, is a veterinary cardiologist and cardiac surgeon specializing in advanced cardiovascular surgery in companion animals. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Rakuno-Gakuen University in Japan and later obtained his PhD from Juntendo University, where he trained in cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Mori is the CEO of the Japan Animal Cardiovascular Care Team (JACCT) and Kinki Animal Medical Center in Osaka, Japan. Through JACCT, he has been actively promoting the development of veterinary cardiac surgery and training future cardiac surgeons. His team performs more than 400 cardiac surgeries annually across affiliated hospitals in Japan and Taiwan. Dr. Mori’s clinical focus includes surgical treatment of congenital and acquired heart diseases in companion animals.
