Dr. Pen-Ting Liao, DVM, MVM, DVSc, DACVAA, DACVECC, is a board-certified veterinary specialist in both anesthesia and emergency and critical care. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Veterinary Medicine degrees from National Taiwan University and later completed a Doctor of Veterinary Science at the University of Guelph in Canada. He subsequently completed residencies in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia at the University of Guelph and in emergency and critical care at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Liao previously served as an Assistant Professor of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology at Auburn University and Iowa State University. He is currently practicing as a veterinary anesthesiologist at Toronto Animal Health Partners in Canada. His clinical and research interests include anesthesia, hemodynamic monitoring, critical care medicine, and perioperative management in companion animals.
