Professor Daniel Mills, BVSc, PhD, FRCVS, Dip ECAWBM(BM), is Professor of Veterinary Behavioural Medicine at the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, and a recognized specialist in veterinary behavioural medicine. He received his veterinary degree from the University of Bristol and completed his PhD on repetitive movement problems in horses and welfare-oriented treatment strategies. He is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine. Professor Mills is internationally recognized for his work in animal behaviour, cognition, and welfare. His research and clinical interests include companion animal behaviour problems, emotional disorders, pain-related behaviour, human–animal interactions, and animal welfare science. He directs the University Animal Behaviour Clinic at the University of Lincoln and has published extensively in veterinary behavioural medicine. He is also listed among the world’s top-cited scientists and is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences.
