FASAVA 2026 Research Abstract Submission & ePoster Presentation Guidelines

1. Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission Opens: May 1, 2026

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: June 30, 2026 (23:59, GMT+8)

  • Notification of Acceptance: July 31, 2026

All abstracts must be submitted through the FASAVA 2026 official congress website.

Please note that FASAVA 2026 will only feature ePoster presentations. Oral presentations and printed posters will not be arranged.


2. Abstract Submission Procedure

To submit an abstract, authors must complete the following steps:

  • Create an account on the FASAVA 2026 congress website.

  • Complete the congress registration and payment process.

  • Log in to the member area and submit the abstract through the online submission system.

Important: Abstract submission is only accessible through the congress website member system. Abstracts submitted without completed congress registration will not be accepted.


3. Eligibility

Abstract submissions are open to:

  • Veterinarians

  • Researchers

  • Residents and interns

  • Graduate students

  • Veterinary students

The submitter does not need to be the presenting author.

However, only one presenter is permitted per accepted abstract.

Important: Abstract acceptance is valid only if the presenting author has completed congress registration.


4. Abstract Preparation Guidelines

Word Limit

Abstracts must not exceed 250 words, including section headings.

Required Structure

Abstracts should include the following sections:

  • Background - Rationale and relevance of the study

  • Objectives - Study objectives or hypotheses

  • Animals - Number and type of animals included

  • Methods - Study design and methodology

  • Results - Key findings with relevant statistics

  • Conclusions and Clinical Importance - Clinical implications of the study

Formatting Instructions

  • Do not include author names or institutional affiliations in the abstract body.

  • Do not repeat the title within the abstract text.

  • Use single line spacing with one blank line between sections.

  • Tables, figures, and images are not permitted in the abstract text.

  • Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted. No revisions are permitted after the submission deadline.


5. Language and Terminology

  • Abstracts must be written in clear English.

  • Abbreviations should be defined at first use and avoided in the title.

  • Use generic drug names at first mention; proprietary names may follow in parentheses if necessary.


6. Abstract Review Process

All submitted abstracts will undergo peer review by the FASAVA 2026 Scientific Program Committee.

Abstracts will be evaluated based on:

  • Scientific merit

  • Study design and methodology

  • Relevance to veterinary medicine

  • Clarity of presentation

  • Compliance with submission guidelines

Authors will be notified of the review results by July 31, 2026.


7. ePoster Presentation

All accepted abstracts will be presented as electronic posters (ePosters).

  • ePosters will be displayed on vertical monitors at the conference venue.

  • Each accepted poster will be assigned a 15-minute presentation session.

  • Presenting authors must be present at their assigned display during the session.

  • During this time, presenters should briefly introduce their work and answer questions from attendees.

  • No oral presentation sessions or printed posters will be arranged.


8. ePoster Technical Specifications

To ensure compatibility with the congress display system, please follow the specifications below.

  • File Format: Posters must be submitted in PDF format.

  • Poster Orientation: Posters should be prepared in a vertical layout (16:10 aspect ratio) optimized for display on vertical monitors.

Font Size and Readability

  • Title font size should not be smaller than 40 pt.

  • Main text font size should not be smaller than 24 pt.

Larger fonts are recommended for section headings and key findings.

Detailed instructions for ePoster upload and submission will be provided after abstract acceptance.
